About Jeff Boyce

Since graduating the renowned Photojournalism program at Loyalist College in 2008, Jeff Boyce’s professional photography career is constantly progressing.

Getting his start as the team photographer with the Belleville Bulls Junior A hockey club and freelancing for the Belleville Intelligencer, his experience led him to contract work with the CanWest Media group and freelance opportunities with the Vancouver Sun, Victoria Times Colonist and the National Post to name a few.

Boyce’s editorial work was recognized by the faculty at North Island College and he was offered a position instructing the FIN 723 Photojournalism course in which he developed a 14 week, three hour lecture curriculum that he has been teaching for the past five years.

Since moving back to Whistler in 2009, Boyce has been developing his own photography business Photography Whistler, specializing in ski and bike photo packages, tournament coverage, weddings and photography instruction.

It is his belief that as a photographer emerging in the digital age it is essential to continually practice techniques, create images, attend workshops and learn as much as possible to prosper in this rapidly changing profession.

Some of his recent clients include Descente North America, Whistler Blackcomb, Herd Headwear, The Keg Steakhouse, Cloud 9 Marketing, The Yukon News, Whistler Tasting Tours and the Whistler Arts Council where he instructs digital photography workshops.

Boyce’s eye for composition, work ethic and desire to tell stories is what fuels his drive, while the Coastal Mountain range and its inhabitants are what decorate his canvas.
